That's why I'm a fan of these giant play clips , specially made to firmly clamp play cloths or play silk to, for example, a chair, table edge, door handle or even to the branches of a tree outside.

But as with all open-ended toys , you can do so much more than just build forts with play cloths. Children use this giant play clip to pick up beanbags , it's a tool, it's an animal's mouth, and you can also train their hand muscles and coordination by opening and closing the play clip.

Sometimes a surface is too thick for the play clip, so you can place beanbags on top to weigh it down. This way, you can build endless dens, both indoors and outdoors.

Games with the giant play clip

  • Building a hut - clamp a play cloth , play silk or blanket with the play clip to the edge of a table, branch or plank.
  • Make a puppet theatre - hang up play cloths or silks as puppet theatre curtains with the giant play clips and grab your cuddly toys for a puppet theatre show.
  • Picking up a beanbag - Can you pick up a beanbag or other toy with a clip? This helps you practice fine motor skills.
  • Need tools? - the play clip is also great fun for so-called tools
  • Get dressed up! Grab a large play cloth and wrap it around yourself as a dress, cape, or skirt, and secure it with the clip.
